Red Balloon is a day-care facility in Thorne, South Yorkshire.

Listening to You

At Red Balloon we make sure we involve and listen to our parents and what they feel is best for their child. This includes working with each child’s keystage worker to follow home routines within the nursery, including weening, potty training, special dietary requirements and rest times. On collection of your child we will always talk you through their day and give feedback on how they are developing.

Food and nutrition gets a special focus at Red Balloon Day Nursery. We provide a well-balanced menu of meals, snacks and drinks (excluding baby milk) that includes seasonal changes for both summer and winter. As always, we talk to our parents to vary our menus and wherever possible food is made fresh from unprocessed ingredients.

We know how stressful it can be for parents when bringing their children to a nursery, especially when it comes to supplying their own baby products. That’s why at Red Balloon Day Nursery, we pride ourselves on taking care of the little things to make sure your child is fresh, dry, comfortable and happy. For babies and toddlers, we can – if required – provide nappies, wipes and creams, meaning there’s one less thing to worry about for all the busy mums out there.

Flexibility and Funding

Red Balloon Day Nursery can offer continuous wrap-around care for 51 weeks of the year. The nursery is open from 7.30am to 6pm in the evening, 5 days week, and can offer sessions from half day to a whole day or even work with you to find timings that suit your needs.

Parents whose children are at Red Balloon Day Nursery can also take advantage of the Government’s free childcare scheme. The scheme, which gives every child between the ages of 3 and 4 up to 15 hours a week of free childcare during term times, is incredibly popular at Red Balloon Day Nursery.
